EDID in Research  - Interactive session to master your EDID in research statements with Dr. Alex Levine, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Decolonization in Research Officer

About the Presenter
Dr. Alexandra Levine (she/her) is the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Decolonization (EDID) Research Officer. Alex brings a unique perspective to this work, identifying as gay and Jewish and having lived in four different countries, before moving to Turtle Island. Her background is in behavioral neuroscience, and she joined the university as a postdoc in 2017. Through her work, Alex strives to embed EDID principles throughout the academy, and wants to challenge the ways in which our research questions and practices tend to center ideas and members of overrepresented groups.

12 noon – 1:30 p.m.
3 Minute Research Competition (3MR) - The 3 Minute Research Competition is a research communication exercise where postdoctoral scholars have 3 minutes or less to present their work and its impact to a diverse group of audience members. Registration is required to participate and attend the 3MR competition!
