"Technologies that Support Remote Care"

Overview - Canada is a vast country with diverse geography, climate, infrastructure, health policies, and a multi-cultural population. People often encounter issues related to care access, equity and patient-centeredness resulting in ineffective management, poor outcomes and high costs for individuals as well as health and social systems. The COVID-19 pandemic worsened inequities and wait-times, but it also demonstrated that our healthcare systems can change how they deliver care. In this showcase, we will learn about innovations that are more adaptive and that aim to support more equitable and accessible services in remote locations to improve people’s quality of life and general well-being.
