More than ever, land acknowledgments are considered standard practice before meetings, events and classes. But what are they and what do they really mean?

Join the Office of Indigenous Initiatives’ Curriculum and Pedagogy Advisor, Sara Mai Chitty, to explore land acknowledgments in a local context as a tool to reframe relationships to Indigenous Peoples, Nations, Treaties and land.

This is an interactive workshop, 1 ½ hrs. with presentation/break-out sessions and optional 1/2 hr. debrief/questions afterwards.
