Expanding Horizons - GSWS Department Conference
The Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies Department Conference- “Expanding Horizons”
March 10, 2023
9:30-4:00pm
In 1982, Audre Lorde declared that “there is no such thing as a single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives.”
In 2023, the GSWS Department Conference theme considers this statement from the past as a call to the future. Under the theme “Expanding Horizons,” this year’s conference stages a series of conversations between scholars, artists and curators about the role of visual art, film, poetry and other forms of cultural production in imagining and mobilizing more livable worlds.
