Dragons' Tank

Looking for a little influx of funding and opportunity to get your startup or business idea off the ground? Enter our Dragons' Tank pitch competition, where budding entrepreneurs pitch to a panel of judges in order to receive a prize of the entrepreneur's choice! The winning contestants will win a choice of $150 OR a ticket valued at $340 to Ivey's Exclusive Entrepreneurship Bootcamp – facilitated by Ash Singh. So what are you waiting for? Pitch your business. Convince our panel that your idea is worth investment! 

Eligibility:

Only students who have not already received funding from Western Entrepreneurship are eligible to participate – this includes: Propel, Western Accelerator, Pierre Morrissette institute for Entrepreneurship or WORLDiscoveries

How to Participate:

1. Register to compete by January 29, 2020.

2. Contests must attend one of Propel's "How To Pitch" workshop in order to compete in the Dragons' Tank pitch competition. Workshop dates include:

Mon January 27, 4:00-5:00 pm

Tues January 28, 4:00-5:00 pm

Wed January 29, 4:00-5:00 pm

3. "Dragons' Tank" pitch day will take place on January 30, 2020. Contestants must pitch in person. Contestant pitching order will be determined through a random draw day of. *Only those who have attended a "How To Pitch" workshop will be entered into the draw. There is no guarantee that you will have the opportunity to pitch as the competition only runs until 7pm! If you miss your allotted pitching time slot, you will automatically be disqualified from the competition.

4. Pitch-ers will have 3 minutes to pitch once their name in called! Judges will deliberate on the spot if the candidate wins a prize! *Students should anticipate quick clarifying questions from judges after pitch

5.That's not all…stick around until the final pitch where we will draw a final raffle prize for one lucky present attendee to win!!
