Carrie Snyder is the author of four books of fiction, including Girl Runner, which was translated into a dozen languages and was a finalist for the Rogers Writers Trust Prize, and The Juliet Stories, a finalist for the Governor General’s award. Her new novel, Francie's Got a Gun, is published by Knopf Canada (summer, 2022), and was named to the Globe and Mail's Best 100 books list for 2022. She is a consulting editor for The New Quarterly magazine, and she teaches creative writing at the University of Waterloo. In 2019, Carrie co-founded a collaborative community-based storytelling workshop for refugee and immigrant women in Waterloo Region, which is now in its fifth season. Carrie writes an award-winning literary blog at carriesnyder.com, and she also works as a temporary secretary and library clerk for the public school board. She lives with her family in Waterloo, Ontario.
