Professor Hoi Kong

Western Law's Public Law Research Group is pleased to welcome Professor Hoi Kong, The Rt. Hon. Beverley McLachlin, P.C., UBC Professor in Constitutional Law at the University of British Columbia, to deliver their annual Distinguished Lecture, entitled "What is the Canadian Constitution?"

The question “What is the Canadian constitution?” has several connotations.  For example, it can be understood to be a question about what kind of a constitution, the Canadian constitution is. It can also be interpreted to be about what the contents of the Canadian constitution are. In his paper, he will argue that these questions are sometimes intertwined and he will illustrate the relationship between them with examples.
