Join colleagues from across Student Experience for a meaningful, fun, and interactive Lunch & Learn. This is the 3rd of a 4-part series addressing topics such as body image, self-compassion, self-love and sex-positivity, all topics that intimately impact both staff and the students we support. Together let’s connect in a safe, inclusive, and affirming space to continue fostering these valuable conversations on campus.
This workshop, facilitated by Martha Elliott, Mental Health Counsellor, will introduce the practice of Mindful Self-Compassion. We will explore the core ingredients in Self-Compassion, learn about the yin and yang of the practice, and engage in a guided meditation together. Participants will learn about the connection between Self-Compassion and Gender Based and Sexual Violence prevention and recovery.
