Inclusive Spaces for Diverse Sexualities: Lunch & Learn

Thursday, June 15, 2023
12:10 pm - 12:50 pm
Thames Hall (TH)
Room: 3118

Join colleagues from across Student Experience for a meaningful, fun, and interactive Lunch & Learn.  This is the second of a 4-part series addressing topics such as body image, self-compassion, self-love and sex-positivity, all topics that intimately impact both staff and the students we support. Together let’s connect in a safe, inclusive, and affirming space to continue fostering these valuable conversations on campus.

This workshop, offered during the month of PRIDE, and facilitated by Amelia Seed, Gender-Based Violence Prevention Education Coordinator, & Shasta MacDermid, Mental Health Counsellor, aims to provide staff with an opportunity to discuss the importance of a healthy relationship with our own sexuality and the impacts that this relationship can have on protective factors for sexual violence. Participants will learn how to feel more comfortable and confident with their own sexuality and learn how to model more sex positive conversations with colleagues and students.

Light snacks and refreshments provided. Everyone is encouraged to also bring their lunch.  Limited spots available. Register Today!
