Join us Thursday, November 14 at 7pm in room NCB117 for Art Now! featuring curator Catherine Bedard. Presented in partnership with the McIntosh Gallery.

Art historian and curator, Catherine Bédard has been director of the visual arts programme of the Canadian Cultural Centre (CCC) in Paris for twenty five years. She has curated about sixty exhibitions (amongst which "Vera Frenkel: Body Missing" (2001); "Stan Douglas: Abandonment and Splendour" (2013); "Denys Arcand/Adad Hannah: The Burghers of Vancouver" (2015)," Kent Monkman: Beauty and the Beasts" (2018)) and hosted as many projects organized in partnership with major Canadian and French institutions. She is also a writer on art, published by the Canadian Cultural Centre, the CAPC Bordeaux, McGill-Queen’s University Press, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Gallimard and Skira amongst others.

This talk is part of "Art Now!", a course offered by the Department of Visual Arts at Western University. This course focuses on current contemporary art production.
