Spanish River Carbonatite: An agromineral with potential benefits to agriculture
Recently, The Guinel lab have begun collaborating with Boreal Agrominerals, and are testing the feasibility of using the agromineral known as Spanish River Carbonatite (SRC) as an alternative to chemical fertilizers. Our first results are promising and we are now assessing whether or not SRC has an impact on soil properties, and if it does, whether those properties drive differences in the soil microbial communities and in the vegetation found at the SRC deposit.
