ABOUT SPEAKER:
MARYAM GOLAFSHANI is a senior medical student at the University of Toronto. She was part of the first cohort to graduate from Western University’s School for Advanced Studies in the Arts and Humanities (SASAH), and then stayed at Western to complete her Master’s at Western in Theory and Criticism. Drawing upon her interdisciplinary education, Maryam has significantly contributed to developing the health humanities in Canada through research, education, and public engagement.
