On Glaciers
On Glaciers:
a conversation with artist Paul Walde and environmental scientist Emmanuelle Arnaud
Tuesday, March 12 at 7:00 p.m. EST on Zoom
Registration required
Join us on Zoom for an engaging discussion about art and climate science! We're thrilled to host media artist Paul Walde (University of Victoria) in conversation with professor of glacial geology Emmanuelle Arnaud (University of Guelph) to discuss themes related to our current exhibition, Paul Walde: Glacial Resonance.
Moderated by McIntosh Gallery Curator Dr. Helen Gregory, panelists will delve into their respective research on glaciers and illustrate how different disciplines can spotlight the urgent impacts of climate change on glacial ecologies. Together, we will consider questions related to climate anxiety and environmental collapse, such as: What is revealed by the melting of glaciers, what have we lost, and what lessons can be learned for the future?
Glacial Resonance continues through March 16, 2024 at McIntosh Gallery. Find out more at www.mcintoshgallery.ca
