Regardless of your discipline, learning how to properly format and organize citations is an integral part of the research process. But compiling reference lists of thousands of sources is becoming increasingly more complex and time consuming. In this workshop, you will learn about the advantages of reference management tools. Beyond quickly generating citations for your research outputs, reference managers allow you to organize your digital library of scholarly sources. While there are many reference mangers to choose from, this workshop focuses on Zotero.

Session Outcomes:

  • Identify the many benefits of reference managers
  • Build your own digital library using Zotero
  • Use reference managers for proper citation practices
