Intro to Research Data Management and Funding Requirements

Funding agencies including CIHR, SSHRC, and NSERC may expect research proposals to discuss how researchers intend to manage their data. Under Canada’s draft Tri-Agency Research Data Management Policy requirements are evolving and researchers need to be aware of changes that may affect their grant eligibility.

The various requirements can be intimidating, but data management doesn’t need to be a headache. This workshop will cover current and anticipated requirements, teach you about the most important elements of a data management plan, demonstrate key tools and resources, and suggest ways to integrate data management into grant proposals.
