Join the Public and Private International Law Research Group for a public lecture from David Kennedy, Manley O. Hudson Professor of Law, Harvard Law School who will lecture on “International Law and Justice?”
Professor Kennedy will assess the conventional – and hopeful – association of international law with ‘justice,’ exploring the place of “international law” in the broader fabric of global legality and the reasons one might – or might not – expect it to contribute to global ‘justice’ or ‘problem solving.’ In light of the current military conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, he will focus on the relationship between modern war and modern law.
