Orange Shirt Flag-Raising Ceremony

All are invited to wear an Orange Shirt and join us at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 23, at Concrete Beach for the annual Orange Shirt flag-raising ceremony recognizing the upcoming National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30. All are welcome. Campus and community leaders will open the event by speaking about the importance of Truth and Reconciliation work at Western. The event will also feature singing and drumming by the Young Indigenous Men's Group, which practices at the Wampum Learning Lodge during the academic year. Corn soup will be served at the Indigenous Student Centre after the event for attendees.
