Attention Indigenous Students!

Hello everyone! My name is Heather, and I am a sixth year PhD student in History at Western. My research explores the lives of Canadian shell-shocked veterans and their families after the First World War. I am interested in medical history and gender history. I can help students with history topics, writing, project planning and research, as well as graduate school and scholarship applications. I have a background in Education and completed my B.Ed at Western University. When I am not studying, I like to read fiction with my cat and bake. I am excited to work in the Indigenous Student Centre this term and I look forward to getting to know everyone! Please contact me at hellis3@uwo.ca or drop in during my office hours to discuss your papers, applications, and any other questions that you have!

Western is committed to accessibility for persons with disabilities.  Please contact us in advance if you have any particular accommodation requirements.  – Ashley Kewayosh Samuel, Indigenous Student Centre Staff, 519-661-2111 ex. 85731, akewayos@uwo.ca.
