Attention Indigenous Students!

Hi, my name is Eli and I am a second year Masters student in Westerns’ History Department. My research is concerned with the evolution of Hollywood’s representations of Indigenous peoples in film through a 50 year period that witnessed Indigenous civil rights movements, ethnic renewal, and decolonization. I come from a town called Quispamsis in New Brunswick, which is Maliseet for “little lake,” and I completed my Bachelors of Arts in History at Mount Allison University in New Brunswick. My role with the Indigenous Student Centre is as a tutor, and I look forward to supporting Indigenous students in their academic pursuits! In my free time I like to cook, garden, and relaxing with a good book! Contact egoodwi7@uwo.ca or drop in to see Eli at his office hours.

Western is committed to accessibility for persons with disabilities.  Please contact us in advance if you have any particular accommodation requirements.  – Ashley Kewayosh Samuel, Indigenous Student Centre Staff, 519-661-2111 ex. 85731, akewayos@uwo.ca.
