Proteus Innovation Competition Launch

Interested in entrepreneurship but don’t have an idea?

Consider Proteus – a four-month long competition that challenges you to create a commercialization plan for 1 of 6 technologies developed out of Ontario's research institutions.

Western University is partnering with McMaster University, University of Windsor, University of Waterloo, University of Guelph and Wilfrid Laurier University to bring you six technologies for you to develop commercialization plans for.

Successful teams have the chance to win 1 of 6 prizes of $5000; and have the opportunity to be involved in the further commercialization of the technology including a possible spin off company!

The launch event will introduce you to the competition, key dates and deadlines, and a presentation about each technology. You will then have the option to move into breakout rooms where you can talk to each innovator about their technology so you can choose the best one for you and your team.

You can learn more about the competition on the ProteusIC website.

This is a virtual event and attendees will be provided with a link to the livestream via email so be sure to register to receive your invite!

Proteus is an innovative competition that aims to highlight some of the great technologies coming out of Ontario's top research institutions. Over the next 4 months, you will be challenged to develop a viable commercialization plan for 1 of 6 amazing technologies.

Learn about the competition and the 6 technologies at the Launch.

This three-stage challenge will conclude with a live pitch competition, for the chance to win 1 of 6 prizes of $5,000 in cash!
