Join the Department of Oncology for Jerry Battista PhDl's presentation "Evolution of Megavoltage X-Ray Dose Algorithms without Mega Physics Phobia," hosted by the Oncology's Medical Biophysics Initiative.

Dr. Battista's presentation will:

Recognize the importance of dose accuracy in clincal radiation treatment planning.
Review the evolution of dose computation algorithms used in treatment planning software, in sync with advances in computer technology, and 3D imaging (x-ray, CT, MRI).
Gaing and intuitive understanding of three contemporary algorithms (convolution, Monte Carlo simulation, Boltzmann transport) and their interconnection.
