“Homer’s Iliad and the Dynamics of Anger: a Performance and Public Discussion”
Anger has always been a common response in the face of loss or injustice. While anger can be a strong catalyst for positive change, it can also fuel violent actions that lead to further loss and harm.
SASAH students will perform a reading of selections from the Iliad, an ancient Greek story that explores the public and personal effects of rage in the context of the Trojan War. The reading will be followed by a moderated audience discussion about the political and personal impact of anger in the world today.
