Library Speaker Series: Neglected Voices: Non-Canonical Philosophers through History, Presented by the Department of Philosophy.

Francisco Suarez, Margaret Cavendish, and Pierre Bayle: The Seventeenth Century has been aptly described as the Age of Genius, but history doesn't remember all of the luminaries of the day. I will talk about three philosophical geniuses whom history of philosophy has forgotten: who they were, what they accomplished, and why they are absent from the philosophical canon.
