Come and see the much anticipated solar eclipse with your own eyes in a safe and fun way, including with a free pair of eclipse glasses!

Starting at 1:06pm, the Moon will start moving in front of the Sun, and will cover up to 75% of the Sun by 2:30pm.

This will be your best opportunity to experience a solar eclipse in this area until 2024. At and around the Cronyn Observatory, enjoy our Canada 150 exhibits highlighting eclipses and astronomy throughout Canada's history, and our newly developed historic displays staged to Canada Day, 1967.
