Stem Cells 101

London is one of 4 sites (along with Toronto, Hamilton and Ottawa) that will be hosting a public outreach event sponsored by the Ontario Institute of Regenerative Medicine (OIRM) called "Stem Cells 101" on April 19 from 7 - 9 PM at the International Graduate Affairs Building (IGAB) Atrium at Western University. The goal of this event is to promote awareness of the promise and potential of stem cell research and
therapies to members of the broader community by featuring short talks and a discussion panel with local researchers on topics including:

- What are stem cells?
- Where is the field regarding the clinical use of stem cells?
- The ethics of stem cell research and clinical translation
