iBelieve: Why is religion/spirituality a taboo subject today

Tuesday, September 29, 2020
8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

iBelieve is a multi-faith dialogue series, where you can come to explore questions of meaning, purpose, faith, and values. As different beliefs and worldviews continue to shape public policies, business practices and social life, the ability to talk about differences is important in building shared understandings among diverse communities. iBelieve engages special guests from different traditions each week to spark our conversation together. This is an opportunity to explore life’s big questions in a multi-faith context.

By participating in this program, you will have an opportunity to:

• Gain more explicit awareness of your perspective on some of the most important questions of life.

• Meet new friends and participate in a supportive community where questions about spirituality, faith, and religion are welcome.

• Grow in mutual understanding and respect of the diverse religious landscape on campus and across the world.

Sept 29 - Why is religion/faith/spirituality a taboo subject today? The subject we’re talking about in this series is both deeply personal – even private – and yet it also shapes out public life together in society at a foundational level. Why do so many people feel they can’t talk about “God”?

Join us every Tuesday from 8-9pm.
