What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness involves working with acceptance, paying attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them—without believing there is a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment. When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts tune into what we’re sensing in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future.

What is Spring Into Wellness?

Spring Into Wellness is a 2-hour workshop focusing on stress relief and the mind-body connection, through a combination of movement, postures, mindfulness, pranayama (breath), mindfulness-based art therapy and finger painting, music, and a holistic nutrition discussion especially tailored for the upcoming exam season.

What will we do during the workshop?

Participants will explore the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits of developing their own techniques towards a mindfulness practice.

Is this workshop for me?

Spring Into Wellness is for all levels; ideal for beginners while offering more challenging options for regular practitioners. This event is FREE and open to all Western students, faculty, and staff.
