Training for Addressing Domestic Violence in the Workplace

Date:
Wednesday, May 13, 2020
Time:
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Cost:
Free

Domestic violence is not a private matter. Recognizing, responding, referring and reporting to appropriate resources are key components of professional development for all members of any workplace environment.

The Make It Our Business workshop will assist workers, supervisors and employers to carry out their varying roles and responsibilities necessary to create a workplace culture that takes domestic violence seriously. Participants will learn how to recognize warning signs and risk factors that signal escalation of violence; know how to respond safely and effectively; and where to refer and find help in the workplace and in the community.

This 3-hour workshop will be delivered using Zoom and is limited to 30 registrants per session. You will be provided with the Zoom meeting number prior to the workshop.

Although this workshop is open to all Western employees, those in leadership roles are specifically encouraged to attend.
