An Unfinished Journey: A powerful documentary about 4 Afghan women now living in Canada who are fighting for the rights of women in Afghanistan.
Come join us for an eye-opening event featuring the powerful documentary, An Unfinished Journey. This film shares the stories of four Afghan women—a journalist, two former Members of Parliament, and a former Minister—who were stripped of their positions when the Taliban seized power in 2021. The film follows their efforts from their new home in Canada to continue to fight for the rights of Afghan women who are unable to participate in education, work, and society.
The event will be held at the Hyland Cinema. The film will be 75 minutes, followed by a discussion in which attendees can delve into the themes of migration, women's rights, resilience, and the ongoing struggle for justice in Afghanistan. Event lasts 2 hours.
