Women managers and the gender wage gap: workgroup gender composition matters

Women managers and the gender wage gap: workgroup gender composition matters

Dr. Sylvia Fuller
Professor, University of British Columbia

November 26, 2021
11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Women’s representation in managerial positions is a common metric for gender equity in organizations. Whether female managers improve gender equity among their subordinates is, however, less clear. Dr. Sylvia Fuller is a sociologist who studies labour market inequalities, changing employment relations, and social policy.

Fuller will discuss her current research with Young-Mi Kim into how workgroup gender composition relates to gender earning differentials.
