The immigration landscape is changing very rapidly in Canada. In this presentation, Enrico del Castello will discuss current research themes at IRCC, future research, and how this research will be mobilized and used for policy purposes.

Enrico del Castello is the Director of Knowledge Mobilization and Partnerships at Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada. After teaching Public Affairs and Political Science at Algonquin College, he joined the Federal Government to work for Agriculture Canada. He was recently appointed to be the director of the International Metropolis Conference 2019 in Ottawa/Gatineau. He holds a Master Degree in Canadian Studies with specialization in Multiculturalism and International Affairs, from Carleton University, a post graduate degree in Public International Administration from the University of Québec and several professional university certifications in International Relations, and strategic analysis and diplomacy. He has been awarded the Queen’s Jubilee Medal and the Cross of Knight to the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. Fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish; since 2004, he has worked as a director in various positions at IRCC.
