Dr. Forbes holds the Canada 150 Research Chair in Forensic Thanatology at Université du Québec a Trois-Rivères, where she is also the founding Director of Canada’s first human body farm. Dr. Forbes’ career has focused on the impact of the environment on human remains. This lecture will provide an overview of the need for human taphonomyfacilities around the world, the research and training conducted as well as examples of how they benefit the scientific and law enforcement community.
