Narcissism in the Workplace: Entitled, Self-Absorbed, and Ready to Lead

Many narcissists want and strive to be leaders. Many are also charming and assertive. But do these qualities make them effective leaders? What happens when they have to follow others? In this talk, we will explore the rise and fall of narcissists in organizations and groups.

Dr. Alex Benson is interested in how groups shape our personal experiences, and how we shape the groups to which we belong. Using experimental and field studies, he examines group dynamics across a variety of domains, including military, sport and organizational settings.

Part of the “Psychology: The Science of Being Human” Lecture series. The 2018 lecture series theme is ‘Personality Matters in the Real World’
