Amélie Quesnel-Vallée is a medical sociologist and a social demographer with postdoctoral training in social epidemiology. With funding from the Canada Foundation for Innovation and the Canadian Institutes for Health Research, she currently studies the impact of public coverage and private health insurance regulation on general and mental health in select OECD countries. In this colloquium, she will discuss her research examining how trajectories of income insurance benefits relate to health and disability in older age in Canada.
