CIA President Michel St-Germain will present an update on current topics in the Canadian actuarial profession, including a review of the Institute’s strategic initiatives, and looks forward to having an interactive dialogue with those in attendance.

Christine Dunnigan and Michel Montambeault from OSFI will provides an overview of the methodology that their office uses to establish best-estimate mortality assumptions in the context of the Canada Pension Plan (CPP), the Old Age Security (OAS) Program as well as large federal public sector pension plans.
