The REDress Project at Western University

Date:
Monday, November 19, 2018
Cost:
Free

The Western community would like to highlight the original REDress initiative created by Métis artist Jaime Black in 2011. The hanging and display of red dresses represents missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, to ensure that they are not forgotten, and that awareness and justice is still needed. To learn more about the original REDress Project, visit: www.facebook.com/REDressProject/

Dresses will be on display along Oxford Drive, in the UCC Atrium and in the Weldon Library Atrium.

This art installation is part of Indigenous Awareness Week at Western University (Nov. 24-30, 2018). www.indigenousweek.uwo.ca
