Translating your Research Within and Outside of Academia

Date:
Wednesday, July 15, 2020
Time:
11:30 am - 12:30 am
Cost:
Free

In this session, you will learn how creating a Knowledge Exchange plan helps you translate your research, knowledge, and ideas to make a difference in the ways in which society understands and addresses its challenges. Using Research Western's innovative Knowledge Exchange Canvas, you will learn to map the outcomes of your research activities and connect them to research users. Engaging in Knowledge Exchange will help you refine your ideas, find opportunities for partnerships, and benefit wider society. In addition to these benefits, a Knowledge Exchange plan is now a requirement for almost anyone seeking funding for their work. In this workshop, you will learn to tailor your Knowledge Exchange plan for the Tri-Council agencies and integrate it into grant applications to develop robust, competitive proposals.

This workshop is offered through the Own Your Future doctoral professional development program. Graduate students and postdocs are also welcome to register.
