The FIMS Doctoral Research Forum is being held on October 2, 2020. This event is being held in partnership with the Canadian Association for Information Science (CAIS) as part of the CAIS 2020 digital conference (details available soon). This is a pilot partnership with CAIS and FIMS is the only school participating in the event. Thus, this forum will provide national exposure for FIMS doctoral research and the faculty at large.
The event is open to all FIMS doctoral students whose work falls within the CAIS mandate (more information here), and is free for presenters and attendees.  Registration will begin on August 3rd until August 21st  by email to doctoral students.

- 5-7-minute live presentations or other formats where desired
- 2 sessions (ideally) broadly related to LIS PhD Fields of Specialization: Information and Society and Information Organization and Technologies
- Sessions moderated by member of FIMS faculty (Paulette Rothbauer and Grant Campbell)

- FIMS graduate students, faculty, and administration
- CAIS and other members of the Canadian library science community

- to raise awareness within the faculty about doctoral research projects at FIMS
- to promote our work and the faculty to the CAIS community
