Jane Urquhart is Western’s 2019-20 Writer-in-Residence and award-winning author of eight internationally acclaimed novels, among them The Whirlpool, the first Canadian novel to be awarded France’s Prix du Meilleur Livre Étranger. Learn more about Jane >>

Gabrielle Drolet is a fourth-year student in the Department of English and Writing Studies. She works as an editor at the Western Gazette, and has been  published in the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, and VICE. Learn more about Gabrielle >>

This talk is part of the “Write Now!” course offered by the Department of English & Writing Studies at Western University. Writing 2520A is organized around a series of lectures by writers.
