Saturday, November 30, 2019
$2500 (approx.)

Destination Theatre (Theatre Studies 3900G) is a popular half-course that offers undergraduates the unique opportunity to learn about contemporary theatre and performance in a major international city.

Offered in Winter 2020, students can expect to spend two hours every other week in class from January to April and then two weeks intensive learning abroad in London, England in June. The two-week study abroad component will include live performances complemented with daily lectures, workshops and seminars hosted by artists and scholars from the University of London, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. In addition, students will experience tours of theatres, archives, and do a theatre-themed walking tour of central London. See Western International for funding opportunities.

Destination Theatre welcomes students from other departments and faculties across campus who might be interested in taking advantage of this unique experience. The course is flexible enough to accommodate students with minimal background in theatre research. Read the student blog or follow us on Facebook to learn more about this life-changing experience!
