Are you interested in publishing your poetry or short stories, or maybe even a novel? Join writers Courtney Ward-Zbeetnoff and Sydney Warner Brooman in a Zoom workshop to learn tips and tricks about the publishing industry—no previous publication experience required!

The event will begin with a short presentation from Courtney and Sydney, then move into writing exercises, group discussion, and a Q&A.

Courtney Ward-Zbeetnoff (she/her) is Western University’s Student Writer in Residence. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Arts and Humanities Students’ Council publications Semicolon, Symposium and Premier. Her poetry and prose have been published in local and international literary magazines, including Re-Side Magazine, ang(st) zine, Occasus, and Polemical Magazine.

Sydney Warner Brooman (they/them) lives in Toronto Ontario. They recently moved from London, ON, where they served as Western University's Student Writer in Residence (2017-2018) and an emerging artist in residence at the TAP Centre for Creativity (2019-2020). Their debut short fiction collection The Pump is forthcoming with Insomniac Press in Spring 2021. Their story “The Bottom” was shortlisted for The Malahat Review’s 2020 Open Season Awards, and they have recent work forthcoming in American Chordata, Thorn Literary Magazine, and other literary journals.
