Poetry London is proud to welcome Emma Healey and Jason Dickson - as well as our own Student Writer-in-Residence Gabrielle Drolet - to Landon Library for their first event of the season.

Their readings will be preceded by an hour-long poetry workshop to which we invite you to bring a poem of your own; and afterwards, please join us at the Wortley Roadhouse to chat with these talented writers.

Emma Healey's first book of poetry, Begin with the End in Mind, was published by ARP Books in 2012. Her second, Stereoblind, was published in 2018 by House of Anansi. She has published poems, essays and criticism in places like The LA Review of Books, The FADER, Hazlitt, The Hairpin, Real Life, The National Post, The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star, The Walrus, Toronto Life, Canadian Art, Little Brother, Matrix, Joyland, The Puritan, Maisonneuve, C Magazine, and more. She's also a regular contributor to the music blog Said the Gramophone, and she plays guitar in a punk band called Rotten Column.

Jason Dickson has been an antiquarian bookseller and writer for over twenty years. His column The Antiquarium appears regularly in Canadian Notes and Queries (CNQ). His book London: 150 Cultural Moments (written with Vanessa Brown) was published by Biblioasis in 2017. Three of his other books (spooky literary ghost poems) were published by Book*hug. His latest title, Raw, about xerox and artistamps artist Michael Bidner, was published by the McIntosh Gallery in 2019.

Gabrielle Drolet is Western's student Writer-in-Residence. She's a poet and a journalist whose work has appeared in The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star and Vice. Too much of her time is spent on Twitter.
