Teaching "feel": Multimodal interaction, pedagogy, and welfare in equestrian training

This presentation builds from field research with instructors and students in publicly-subsided Swedish riding schools, and examines the embodied and communicative dimensions of teaching, learning, and interspecies relations.

Dr. Charlotte Lundgren is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Culture and Communication at Linköping University in Sweden where she leads the Horse-Human Relations Research Group and works in the Language and Literature Unit which has responsibilities for teacher education and L2 Swedish language learning. She has published in the areas of communication in sports, health care and other learning-centred activities.
