Andrea Thompson is an award-winning spoken word artist, editor and educator, who blends poetry, storytelling and musicality into her art. Andrea has been publishing and embodying transformational performance through spoken word for over twenty-five years. Andrea currently teaches spoken word at the University of Toronto’s English & Drama department. Her most recent work The Good Word is a spoken word album, that explores the intersection of Black history and faith. Andrea will be offering our community an intimate, transformative workshop on the art of writing spoken word and poetry. The workshop is open to anyone, will include light refreshments and networking opportunities, as well as leaving space for participants to explore their poetry with Andrea 1 on 1. The workshop has limited availability and will work on a first come, first serve basis.
