You’ve heard about Stonewall? Marsha P. Johnson? Sylvia Rivera? We owe a lot of our rights as 2SLGBTQ+ communities to these great American trans liberation leaders. But do you know who was leading the 2SLGBTQ+ liberation here in Toronto? Join The 519’s Education & Training team to learn the story of Pride from a new perspective and deepen your sense of local history. Learn why the first Pride was a riot, and why we need to continue marching behind our fearless 2 Spirit, trans, and non-binary leaders.
