Understanding Intergenerational Trauma

In recognition of Genocide Awareness Month and the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, The Office of EDI at Western and Western Hillel are pleased to welcome Jenna Quint to Western to present Understanding Generational Trauma.

This program will help improve understanding of intergenerational trauma through a combination of personal narratives and by summarizing the latest scientific information about intergenerational trauma. The program looks at three main topics: background, mechanisms of transmission, and healing.

Jenna Quint is an RSW. She has completed a certification in DBT and is a candidate for EMDRIA and IFS Certification. Jenna specializes in addictions, mental health, trauma, and intergenerational trauma. Jenna currently works at JACS Toronto, running their Courage 2 Change and Intergenerational Trauma programs.
