2017 Creative Writers Speakers - Daniel MacIvor & S Brooman

The Department of English and Writing Studies is pleased to welcome Daniel MacIvor and Sydney Brooman as part of this year's Creative Writers Series.

Daniel MacIvor is Western’s 2017 Writer-in-Residence, and an award winning playwright and screenwriter who has written numerous award-winning theatre productions.

An Honors English Language & Literature and Creative Writing student, Sydney Brooman is Western’s 2017 Student Writer-in-Residence; a program which provides support for an accomplished undergraduate writer and contributes to the culture of creativity across campus, within the London area, and across literary genres, media, and technologies.

In partnership with Poetry London, the Department of English and Writing Studies welcomes all faculty, staff and students to the Creative Writers Speakers Series. Through a series of lectures by contemporary writers, participants will explore the art, craft, and process of creative writing in a variety of genres
